Malcolm X (1964): "The Ballot or the Bullet
I
When people judge your ascend for you there too much;
Jobs friends, who didn't know betters, but dissent.
Why should you look back, let the dead bury touched,
what are theirs, just as Caesar shall get his own match.
Break the Rues, then you do your thing, in purpose, 2 cent;
if you got something to say, don't stay at the meat-pots repent!
Follow Christ, as He was tossed by the Holy Spirit – Catch!
II
Don't demand comments nor fervour from the sad and haughty;
why should Belial give praise to El Shaddai! Rejoice condemned;
then they doubt your calling, for the same suffered the lone Saints;
who confessed in blood and toil, not like Iskariot, the Traitor taints.
Like false prophets and scholars, who skeptic, when Jesus ordained;
claimed to see, while seething at every deed He done for the lame
and widows, the orphans and Harlots – thus you shall do naughty!
III
Don't expect support from churches or Majors. Go out to the streets;
there the people dwell, seek crossroads. Break the Rues, brother;
and take the lead sister – for the Left and Right hand of God meets!
Through the silent footsteps of the shadow of the Lord creeps –
Forsake your Father and Mother and Master, become the Other;
the Eternal Wanderer, at home nowhere, sent in need, where ever!
You are like Navy Seals of Faith, the Juggernauts of Calling, keep it!
