Savage Opress AMV - Feel Invincible
I
Used to be the Third Power in the World, now Yellow;
full of cowardice and powered opinion of the elites.
Feeling invincible, fighting against establishment brows;
now but a lapdog, to serve the dark side growls.
The Press but Savage Opress, a brute without grit;
who cannot detect nuance, killing infants sprites
in the proverbial basin. To get a virtue signal in mellow.
II
Harping on war and support, what will never come;
being silent then tyrants suppress democracy, while
cracking down on activists from the opposite dome.
Your honour and fervour – bought articles, Rome
long fallen, the Library of Alexandria burnt, sigh.
Nobody raises a kite, makes a stand for the confined;
everybody but gentle barbarians, until home alone!
III
Savage Opress, to rue the World for its wrong think;
how dare somebody be not Cosmopolitan, censorship
crave. For how does the parent ditch their sink –
to raise kids and party all night long, let it blink.
The Ministry of Truth, not concerned with whips –
they are not doing it, just being silent lips,
while deep throating at the Power House drink.
