The Hero Who Walks Away | From Frodo to Gilgamesh
1.
Let's Play a game, pick a piece;
Peace or War, lend or Cashew –
Most pick the Queen, most pleased;
astute, it can move where it ceased.
Captured by many, when you Hebrew
St. Paul, why would the Emperor nude;
want to shrink from their desires tease.
2.
The Next play coy and pick the Rook;
like Jaime Lannister, prowess to serve!
Not Ambitious enough, to be the crook;
despising the dwarf and the Lion shook.
Fucking incestuous to escape from fervour;
They don't care who's King, as long parkour
shows them the Best White Knight cooked!
3.
Those devout, pick the Bishop or Knight;
either diagonally or Jesters folly zealoth.
To cloak and dagger on their mission sight.
When you think your party is always Right –
just learn the code, and honour the plot.
What you have more, is not what you got;
because you never know, who's board you Enlight!
4.
Those, who know, pick the Pawn, not Even King;
because it can become everything – Win or Loss.
Either you're the wall in front of the Sovereign;
or passed your allies and promote something.
Like the Holy Fool, living at the coin toss;
then others see honour, you're ready to Cross.
Overcome Yourself, and learn to do Nothing.
5.
What was your pick, what did you choose;
did you win something, or did you get startled?
Be careful, when you play with a moose;
Whiteraven can teach, but what will you goose!
Know Yourself, before you know others misled;
then you don't fret a thousand corpses ahead!
Just walk along the River, as they cruise...
