When something moves me, making me go silent. Unfortunately we cannot summon Tolkien, to ask him, what did He mean, in His kindness, to see, that Evil cannot understand Pity. So one of His fans has to do, who has given a really thoughtful meditation on the topic of evil and the benefits of Pity. I don't agree, that Pity is the answer, because we're not so virtuous as the characters of Tolkien. It made it hard for me to read Lord of the Rings or even more so “The Silmarilion” because it felt like, it spoke of a foreign species, I didn't belong to, making me believe, that the British must be some Supermen with enormous balls, who don't know, how the normal people dwell and live their mundane lives. Because if you would manifest those ideals to our current day, there comes a problem. People constantly abuse pity. Especially the “woke” excessively make claims, there they come forward as feeling superiority towards those they deem lesser and want to lecture and redeem. In order to even use Pity, you not only need to see things clearly, but be like a gentleman , which don't exist any more, making you Godlike. Maybe it was possible in the Commonwealth, but Post-Modernism has corrupted everything. How do you Pity, then God is Dead? Every factions wants to move out, as though they have the answer to all the problems of the World, which can be underscored as having Pity, which China has renounced as “Baizuo”. While this refusal stems from legalism, where you can't trust the good will of people, due to our ambitions and urges. It has a point. How do you console the youth today, that Pity is problem, then all you see is orks roaming on the ruins of Osgiliath? I never allowed myself Pity, to not corrupt my eyes due to the Parable of Thorn in the Eye Mat 7:3-5. Today you pity somebody, tomorrow, you think, that person you pitied, should serve you. For whatever you saw on him, while you pitied. People always take advantage of all the wisdom, they could gleam from the past – thus get no merit, like the parables of the candle under the Bushel Mat 5:15 or the leaned salt Mat 5:13 Eco-chambers are like this kind of candle or salt btw. The more they talk and express the more darkness they spread. As long they talk, nobody has access on the topic, as though, somebody built a fence around the law, so nobody could break, but also not truly follow it. Only God or Superman can Pity, and just like the Hermit in the Forest in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, I love God too much, to have anything for the people. It is misused pity, what has corrupted the West. That we in our arrogance think, we should solve other peoples problems. I don't blame it on Tolkien though, maybe He was so great, I blame on the people, who let that England perish because making profit was more important. Pity is as abstract in our current day, like the turning of the other cheek, then nobody knows, why they are offered, and what them both stand for and why should the offer be rhetorically refused, also forgiving whatever the debt was. I don't want to turn the other cheek on any person, because I don't want myself to perish in front of the Lord, nor the person, should he smite it. Whence would people take this level of holiness, to have pity, or turn the other cheek – without thinking, that they neighbour is a nazi; misagynist; rapist etc. The reason why Game of Thrones, whos author despises Tolkien became so popular, is precisely the lack of pity in this world. Everything eats everyone, and pities not! I guess people are fed up with Pity, because there has been too much moral outrage over this and that. I can't take it seriously. I believe in Resolve and executing your will in front of You and Your Ideals. That doesn't corrupt your vision, nor make you weak like the woke, who only cry on the ground not really doing anything themselves, to solve the issue at hand. Because somebody else need to do it. Too many people are like Saruman or Grima Worm-tongue, who only use their wits on how to stay away from the conflict, not how to solve it. People want to be Kagemusha – the shadowman. Who leads from behind, or Grey Cardinal, like Richelieu was. Not really the shining King in front but like Frank Underwood, who weasels to power. How do you pity in this world, where people have embraced Mordor as their true Master and King? Where everybody wants to rule the world like the famous parody of Mojo Jojo from Power Puff Girls, who was a monkey made smart, just to realize, there is not a place for him in this cruel world, thus he became a Mastermind! It was the same what corrupted Tom Marvolon Riddle in Harry Potter, who remained alone in his grief, when his father didn't want him for being got from a forced relationship and his mother gave up on life, while being the heir of Slitherin! The reason, why he creaed his philosophy and cult of the Death Eaters and cut his soul into seven – so that honour would reign forever. You got to love the genius of J.K Rowling in depicting it, while silently letting it unfold next to the life of Harry Potter, the alter ego of Voldemort. He gets to grow up with the Dursleys not in an orphanage, getting a resemblance of family; he is guided by Hagrid and befriended by the Weasley family, while Tom Riddle stood alone. Nobody showed pity there, because why would you offer pity to the gifted. “The winners don't need Super Mario boosts!” as the woke would state, then taunting your perceived Privilege and pitying the have nots. Pity is the reason, some people don't even know directions, which way to the finish line, just spinning around, because they have gotten lost in the existential fog of the theologian and philosopher, who only teaches, to show his prowess, but not really to make a difference. Unless Jesus dost throw pebbles behind his back to make them turn into his Angels, to show, how a Superman looks, who can do those things in the Sermon of the Mount and feel Pity, I don't know how that would be a thing! Does it matter then, if the have not gets 2 or 9000 super Mario boosts, why would I need to Pity such a creature, who dost not know how to spell fair game? I just feel cringe and disgust, that we share species. Why is it, that some people just give up and expect some Saviour to do it for them? The very reason, I despise Welfare. The more you get it, the weaker and more dependable and unable you become. We need better work ethics not Pity. That people are able to sort their own shit out and clean their own room, as Jordan Peterson would state. People only Pity themselves, Pro 12:10; Isa 59:11 that the Justice (mišpat) of God is far from them, like it would be a good thing!! That leaves little room to Pity others, and do something, for which you have to have a character of a Knight not a child who has a tantrum. Its like the parable of the pearls, where you can't say anything, what Jesus has to offer, because the ones are pigs, who corrupt themselves and only indulge, and the others are dogs, who gossip and snitch on others sins, no regard if their reputation can hold this. In the olden days, if you saw a woman in the bar, you there to assume, she was with company, and never tell anybody, you saw her there, for otherwise she would become a Harlot! The same was about the drunk Noah naked in his tent, what one son saw and gossiped to the others, who went in backwards and covered his shame! How do you teach anything to this generation, then shame Pity and other such terms don't matter any more? I found the answer in following Christ as a Christian Communist and wielder of the Philosophies of Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, but will I be understood thus! What is your answer?
