Hungry Hippo

 Be hungry for Wisdom, but not too hungry;

those, who are full of themselves, only toy

with their knowledge and spill their beens.

Releasing all their veils, they become drunk;

inside their own tents, they are like Noah --

afterwards they accurse their own children,

for being witnesses of their folly arrogance.

Don't be famished, there taste has no meaning;

nor satisfied, there taste means too much.

Gourmans and Kodokushi think alike --

neither of those appreciate the cheff's honour!

Be thankful to Wisdom, like the Hobo in the street;

who goes in the house of the Lord, to receive;

the bread, he has not grown and the water, he has not welled.

Fall asleep and then wake up, then fall asleep and then wake up.

After each day becomes night, after seven days become weeks;

those become months, then seasons then years. So do you!!

Don't rush in your journey, for you can't shoot yourself into the moon;

but you can send your goals and aspirations there, to make way.

Unless you want the gods, to laugh at you, and put the gate elsewhere;

like the bully, moving the glasses of the nearsighted around in the sand.
